Curious about Christianity, Nilüfer purchased a Bible and began scouring its pages for answers to life’s questions. She then decided to visit a church for the first time ever, and that’s where she met GEM worker Margré, serving in Alkmaar, Netherlands.
As they began to chat, Margré asked Nilüfer if she knew what Christians believed. Nilüfer pointed to the cross at the front of the church and recounted something she had read in her Bible. “Yes, you believe that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole world.”
Nilüfer soon decided to follow Jesus, and that’s when her discipleship journey began. Learn how the Lord grew the faith of Mieke, another young woman in the church, as she walked alongside Nilüfer on that journey.
