Our Story
We are Jesse and Erica McCallister and serve as missionaries with Greater Europe Mission. Together with our three children, we live and serve in Berlin, Germany. In 2011, we came to Europe for the first time as part of a short-term effort working among refugees in Athens, Greece. This experience ignited a desire in our hearts to live and serve among those who are coming to Europe in search of hope and a new beginning. After serving for a brief period of time in Greece, our family transitioned to Germany in 2015 where we have been ever since.
Where We Work
Berlin is the capital of Germany and home to 4 million people and is often referred to as “the Atheist capital of Europe”. The city’s reputation as vibrant, influential, and historically significant draws people from all backgrounds, cultures and corners of the world. In fact, over 180 different nationalities call Berlin home. A wonderfully complex and diverse city like Berlin offers many opportunities to to connect with people who are searching for hope, peace, a sense of purpose, and reconciliation. Our vision is to see Berliners have a chance to hear the good news of Jesus in a clear and understandable way, to see lives transformed through discipleship as Christ-followers, and to see multiplying churches planted across the city.
