Sharing Christ in Frankfurt

My Story
I was born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany. I came to Christ through a car accident that wrecked my soul in 2019. It was an awakening to the meaning of life. Never before had I seen myself this clearly. I was already visiting a church at that point. Without looking for it, Jesus led me into an inside-out discipleship process 1 year after said accident. It was very new. I wasn’t just learning new things. I also started responding to God, which was very foreign to me. Since then, I’ve experienced how God has been growing my interactive relationship with Him. He is continually growing my awareness and teaching me how to love people better.
Through that process, God has put it on my heart to share Christ and make disciples that make disciples to see the Kingdom expand. I noticed that doing that in full-time ministry is the only thing that makes sense to invest my life in. Through this intense time of prayer, formation and reflection, the Lord called me into full-time Ministry with Greater Europe Mission in 2021 to focus on Evangelism and Discipleship here in Frankfurt. Why Frankfurt? When I was praying and asking God where I should serve, He answered by highlighting to me my desire to meet people from all sorts of cultures and backgrounds and by growing my relationship network in my hometown of Frankfurt. I want to stay here because they are all here. To meet them I don’t need to go anywhere else. As He is transforming and teaching me to fully live into His Design I want to pass that on to others so they can experience the same kind of transformation.
Where I work
The population of the Rhein-Main area is about 6 million people, with about 2,4 million living in the Frankfurt area. Most of the people living here neither know Jesus nor anybody who knows Jesus. And the few who do know someone who knows Jesus, rarely hear the gospel from them. I don’t meet people who heard the gospel fully and comprehensively or contextualized to their living reality. The door into Jesus' Kingdom is open, but the ones who entered are rarely discipled to learn to live in His Kingdom.
Right now, I am working in a hotel full-time pursuing the Great Commission part-time, until I can be released into ministry full-time. God is giving me opportunities through my job, but we also have regular outreaches in Frankfurt I am involved in. One is called Friday Outreach Frankfurt and takes place in the central station area, where drug abuse, homelessness and prostitution are rampant. Another one takes place on Goethe University Campus Westend, trying to unify the student body of Christ for the fulfillment of the Great Commission, reaching the students of Frankfurt. A third is called “Haqiqa” and takes place on the biggest shopping street in downtown Frankfurt, called “Zeil”. It is particularly directed toward reaching out to people from a Muslim background. God greatly built my confidence and competence to engage and share with all kinds of people through those opportunities and I have found this to be quite enjoyable. Through it all, I have been growing in how God interacts with me, noticing how He is at work drawing others to Himself and in my capability and capacity to disciple others into His Kingdom.
