Abby's Story

Abby is originally from Fort Necessity, a small town in Louisiana, and currently resides in Lindale, Texas. After coming to faith in high school, it was during her college years that she began to fully grasp what it meant to have a personal relationship with God. That realization led her to serve on short-term mission trips both in the U.S. and abroad—experiences that opened her eyes to the deep spiritual needs around the world.

In 2016, during a mission conference at her home church, she felt the Lord calling her into full-time missions. The following year, she moved to Wales in the United Kingdom to serve for two years. There, she encountered the staggering reality that less than 2% of the population identified as believers, further fueling her passion to share the hope of Christ.

While serving overseas, God gave her a burden for mobilizing and equipping young people to engage in missions. Today, she continues to pursue that calling and is actively preparing to return to the field in the coming years to serve in long-term missions. Her desire is to see lives transformed by the Gospel and to help raise up the next generation of mission-minded believers.

Where She Serves

In her current role, Abby is based in Texas, where she works closely with universities and churches to mobilize individuals for the mission field. A significant portion of her time is spent on university campuses, where she builds relationships and shares opportunities with GEM for students to serve. Abby also travels extensively to visit churches, collaborating with them to explore partnership opportunities and encourage involvement in the impactful work happening across Europe.

A key aspect of her role is serving as the first point of contact for individuals pursuing a call to missions. She conducts interviews and guides prospective missionaries through the initial stages of their journey. Additionally, Abby occasionally has the opportunity to visit ministry sites across Europe, actively participating in the work being done on the ground.
