Abby's Story
Abby is originally from Fort Necessity, a small town in Louisiana. After coming to faith in high school, it was during her college years that she began to fully understand what it meant to have a personal relationship with God. Through short-term mission trips in the U.S. and abroad, God opened her eyes to the spiritual needs around the world and began growing a desire in her heart to serve others through missions.
In 2016, during a mission conference at her home church, Abby felt the Lord calling her into full-time missions. The following year, she moved to Wales in the United Kingdom to serve for two years. Her time overseas deepened her love for Europe and strengthened her desire to see people encounter the hope of Christ.
While serving in Wales, God also gave Abby a passion for mobilizing and equipping others to engage in missions. That passion eventually led her into four years of mobilization and recruitment with Greater Europe Mission in the United States. Today, God has brought her back to the UK to continue living out the calling He placed on her heart years ago.
Abby’s desire is to faithfully follow where God leads, see lives transformed by the Gospel, and help raise up the next generation of mission-minded believers.
Where She Serves
Abby is based in Birmingham, England, where she serves with Greater Europe Mission (GEM) in UK Mobilization. After four years of mobilization and recruitment work in the United States, she now works with churches, universities, and individuals across the UK to help mobilize British believers to serve throughout Europe.
Abby connects with those exploring missions, helps them discover opportunities with GEM, and guides them through the early stages of pursuing missions. She is also helping develop GEM UK’s growing mobilization efforts and resources.
Outside of her work, Abby is intentionally involved in the Birmingham community, building relationships, serving those around her, and looking for opportunities to share the gospel and point others toward Jesus.
