Our Story

Landon and Emily have served in Manchester, England since July 2019, and they will begin serving in Cologne, Germany in the summer of 2024. They’ve been married 8 years and have 3 children: Asa, Aidan, and Evelyn.

Landon and Emily met at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina while Emily was earning her Bachelor’s Degree in English and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and Landon was earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural Studies. Landon went on to get his Master’s Degree in Islamic Studies from CIU.

The Nichols began their ministry with Greater Europe Mission in Manchester, England where they have served first at an Evangelical Free and then an Anglican church. In 2021, God laid Iranians on their hearts which led them to the Anglican church which is between 40 – 50% Iranian. Landon has been learning Persian and speaks conversationally with Iranians in the Persian language.

For the past couple of years, Landon & Emily felt God prompting them to move to Germany and in Autumn of 2023, He began opening the doors to a move to Cologne. They are excited to work alongside a GEM team in Cologne and a local church as they continue to share the Gospel with their friends and neighbours and especially Iranians. German has had a special place in Emily’s heart since she lived there as a child and has come to have a special place in Landon’s heart too. The Lord has led Landon and Emily to take a big step in faith as they move from a country where they’ve served for 4+ years to a new country and a new language.

Where We Work

Landon and Emily will begin working in Cologne in 2024 through evangelism, discipleship, and hospitality. They’ll begin with German language school, making connections with fellow students and neighbours during their first year in Germany.

The Nichols (all five of them!) are excited to learn German and join the incredible team in Cologne who serve refugees and Germans alike through friendship, meals, English conversation classes, football (soccer) and more.
