Bart & Jessica Newsom

Jessica and I have a long history of connections to the UK as God has woven the thread of England through our lives. I traveled to London many times for work and developed close personal friendships there. Then, in 2023, I had the opportunity to go on a vision trip with Quail Springs Baptist Church, as we planned to send students to serve on short term Spring Break mission trips beginning in 2024. I was challenged and God began to open my heart to love the people of Northern England and to prayerfully consider the possibility of moving there.

Jessica has long loved England as a fan of their historical fiction and mystery novels, royal history, and even collected teapots as a teenager! She had the opportunity to travel there on work trips with me and it quickly became her favorite place to be a tourist. Then, in 2025, Jessica went as a mission trip sponsor to Northern England and began to hear the call to move and serve there.

We heard of the need for disciples who make disciples to come love the people of England, live in community with them, and share the good news of the Gospel. Our hearts were broken for a place we had grown to love that so desperately needs the love of Christ. We are passionate about teaching God's word and discipling believers here in the states and want to continue that work in Northern England. We are prayerfully seeking ministry partners who will invest with us as we go.
