Our Story
In 2004, God called us to share a life following Jesus with people living in Europe. We spent 14 years in Ireland, from rural villages to the urban core, making disciples through development, creative communities, and the local church.
In 2022, we transitioned to the US, where we both serve in GEM’s US Sending Centre. We are currently based in Kansas City, Missouri with our three kids and two neurotic sighthounds.
Where We Work
In January 2025, Matt was appointed Missional Catalyst for Ireland—developing ministry partnerships between Ireland, the US, and the rest of Europe as well as providing pastoral care to our colleagues in Ireland. Meanwhile, Karen serves as GEM's Storytelling Team Leader, sharing the stories of Europe so Europeans can know the story of Jesus.
Though the location has changed, our mission remains the same: helping people enter into deeper relationships with Jesus in the US, Ireland, and beyond.
