My Story
Ever since I was 13 I felt God leading me into international mission work. And, although he took me through many twists and turns throughout my 20s, he lead me in his timing to moving to Birmingham, England in 2022. Today, I work with my local church, Oikos Church and Cafe in the neighborhood of Erdington. I use my passion and skills in baking and teaching English to build bridges and begin relationships that opens doors to the Gospel. I lead a baking workshop, teach English and lead Bible stories for internationals in our community, provide administration support to the GEM UK Executive, and study the Bible one-on-one with women from other backgrounds and religions who express curiosity and oppenness in Christianity. It is through these meetings and moments that I am growing many friendships and having the joy of reading the Bible with some who have never heard the beautiful news of salvation in Jesus Christ. In addition to all this, I am happy to share that a month after my move to Birmingham, I met my now husband, a Birmingham native. To be a wife to a Godly man was a prayer of mine for many many years and, it turns out, God called me to England not only for ministry, but also to answer my prayer, and Mark's prayer as well. Mark is a medical professional in a local hospital, and uses his work in a way that gives glory to God and shares the love of Jesus daily. We live a very short walk from our church and share our warm and loving home with our two cats, Maple and Willow. Although Mark is not a GEM worker as I am and he is employed, this is a 2-income country, and your financial support of me and this ministry work is needed and immensly helpful as well as a humbling inspiration to Gods provision.
