My Story
I’ve spent the last 15 years in ministry across Europe. Before moving to the UK, I worked in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I co-led a team focused on university and youth ministry. Our work involved organizing programs, camps, and English classes, as well as Bible studies, discipleship meetings, and walking alongside students as they shared their faith with family and friends. During that time, the Lord deepened my passion for fitness and began showing me how I could use it as a way to engage others with the gospel.
Where I Work
Originally from the USA, I now live in Brighton, UK, with my British husband, Reece Gates. I moved to Brighton because my heart ached for the reality of the city. Brighton is located one hour south of London along the coast, with a population of around 300,000. Recently, it was named "the most Godless city in the UK." Practices like witchcraft, tarot card reading, and other spiritual practices are common. The city also has the third-largest homeless population in the country, and one in three adults are actively using illegal drugs.
I currently serve as Chief Operating Officer for GEM UK, overseeing HR and personnel management. Beyond my operational role, my heart is divided between two main passions: a deep compassion for the poor and vulnerable, and a desire to use a holistic approach to fitness—body, mind, and spirit—as a way to facilitate deeper evangelistic conversations. Some of my ministry activities include volunteering locally at a food bank and soup kitchen, mentoring young believers, and offering personal training, which allows me to build deeper relationships for evangelism.
