Our Story
For more than ten years, we’ve each carried a heavy burden in our hearts for people with limited access to the Gospel - and the UK fits that bill pretty clearly. Between migrant populations rising and fewer churches growing, both international and national residents rarely hear the Good News of freedom, healing, and peace that Jesus offers.
After 4 years of studying missions in college, a year of studying missions organizations, and over two years working in a church together, we finally sense God opening the next door. It’s clear to us that He has been preparing our hearts, minds, and family for the right time to take this next step.
As we fundraise, we continue to undergo intensive training through GEM. With the support of many leaders and others on the same path as us, we’re trusting in God to continue to open the necessary doors for us to meet a Launch Date of January, 2027. Our goal is to be fully funded by September, 2026 in order to meet that goal!
Romans 10:14-15a says, “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?”
We’re ready to be sent, and we trust in the path He’s set to join church planters in the UK!
Where We Work
In the UK, we will be placed on a Church Planting track. For two years, we have an opportunity to train and learn under national leaders about the most strategic way to meet their people while actively participating in a church plant. Our goal is to set out to plant a church in a high-need area at the end of that training period!
Through placement in a church plant, we will be serving and affirmed by our church leadership. Here we get to “do” the work of full-time ministry and grow in our character and competencies. We will also receive a church planting coach who will meet with us to help us work out our training, develop a plan, and strategize the steps required to plant a church. Through a cohort and annual 48-hour learning community, we'll receive continued training from experienced practitioners, grow in knowledge through roundtable discussions, and case study learning, whilst allowing space for prayer and worship together.
In order to fund both of these full-time jobs as well as cover all ministry expenses, we must raise $11,500 in monthly support. This would cover all monthly expenses for our ministry work (think purchasing Bibles and various supplies, purchasing groceries for a family in need, all other expenses full-time ministry work requires) and for our family (monthly rent, health insurance, groceries, all other living expenses any normal family has!).
We must also raise a $100,000 Launch Fund to cover all initial moving expenses, continued required trainings to set our family up for a healthy transition overseas, paying a variety of fees (visa, driver's education for an international license, etc.), and more!
