Our Story
Matthew and Karen met in college in Chicago, IL and were married in 1999. After the birth of our first child, we both felt God calling us to Europe. We joined Greater Europe Mission in 2004 and spent 14 years (and added two more children) in Ireland as we served in church planting, community development, arts, and discipleship.
Where We Work
Currently based in Kansas City, Missouri, Matt serves the GEM US Sending Centre as a Learning and Development Specialist, training cross-cultural workers across Europe and the US. Though the location has changed and the ministry has changed, our mission remains the same: helping people enter into deeper relationships with Jesus. We'll keep doing that right where we are while Matt helps disciple-makers in Europe do the same.
