You may have heard that life on the mission field isn’t always easy for cross-cultural workers, but have you considered its impact on their children? Do they naturally follow in their parents’ missional footsteps, or do these third culture kids (TCKs) have entirely different hopes for their future?
GEM worker and native Romanian Tavi Berechet had given his life to Jesus as a sixteen-year-old in 2003, when Christians from northern Romania came to his town to plant a church. Before that, no evangelical church existed in his community. As an adult, he sensed God nudging him into evangelism, but when frustration and burnout set in, Tavi dared to ask God for two signs to show him whether they should quit or keep going.
After years of pouring into people who were coming to local ministries and Bible studies, an older and wiser friend challenged Rob and Amy to plant a permanent church home in their Irish village.
