My Story
I grew up as a missionary kid in a super small town in Alaska, and discovered my passion for youth ministry at a summer camp that I worked at for many years. I then attended Moody Bible Institute, where I found myself traveling to Europe many times on a band tour, a study abroad, and missions trips! During this time God was growing in me a deep heart for missions in Europe. After university I also spent three years working full time as a tutor at a middle and high school, as well as spending much of my free time in all things youth ministry. Little did I know, God had a plan for me involving my passion for youth ministry, love for supporting academics, and His heart He has been placing in me for the people of Europe.
Where I Work
From 2021-2023 I worked in Germany at Black Forest Academy with Greater Europe Mission (GEM) serving missionary kids from all over the world through working on a team to co-parent in a dorm of high schoolers, as well as later offering academic support to individual students. Since returning to the United States in fall 2023, I now work as a GEM Associate, meaning I can continue working with GEM for special projects. This mostly has involved returning to Europe whenever I can to serve as a small group leader at GEM's missionary kid retreat: GEM-K! I hope to return back to serve in Europe full time once again someday, but for now it has been exciting to continue to serve these students through GEM-K, and other projects I'm able to be a part of.
