Camp La Pastorale – France

This camp was started as a ministry in the 1970s for urban youth in France, where many immigrants live. The 20-acre property called “La Pastorale” that used to be a hotel for Catholic pilgrims offers a great getaway for youth with its mountain setting and sports facilities. Many of the kids that attend camp are non-religious, and the program is set up to introduce them to Jesus Christ. GEM Teams has been sending teams to La Pastorale since 1998, and has developed a wonderful relationship with the local church and the camp leadership.

Project Plan

The camp continues to seek to grow to have an even bigger impact. They have a number of maintenance and construction projects planned and are eager to host volunteers to come alongside them.
