The purpose of the House of Hope or Selimbar Girls' Home (as it is also known) is to minister to young women who have grown up in orphanages. When they need to leave at the age of 18, most do not have a place to go, nor do they have a job skill. They also do not have life skills that would enable them to survive. This transition house provides the girls a place to stay, helps them find a job, teaches them life skills, and introduces them to the love and message of Jesus Christ.
