Our Story
I (Chris) left Vancouver, Canada to attend Biola University in southern California. In a tennis class, I met Susan who is from San Bernardino, California. In our time at Biola our eyes were opened to the need in missions for people with backgrounds in finance and teaching. That was us! Two years after getting married, we moved to Germany. We have three daughters (Savannah, Ashley, and Sierra), the eldest of whom is at university in the US while the other 2 are finishing high school here in Germany!
Where We Work
Since stepping off the plane in 2002, we've been serving with Greater Europe Mission in Germany. I (Chris) use my professional financial services experience and background to serve as GEM's Chief Financial Officer and as part of the mission's leadership team.
I (Susan) teach beginning German to missionary kids at Black Forest Academy and have a ministry to missionary women.
Our small city of Kandern is in the Black Forest region of Germany. It is the launching point for various ministries and missions to reach all of Europe for Christ. We love sausage and pretzels, like schnitzel, and are just okay with sauerkraut.
