Europe: Kosovo |
My Story
Hi! I'm a sophomore biochemistry major at the University of Delaware. I was set to serve with GEM in Athens last summer when COVID-19 struck, and the trip was canceled. However, I have felt God calling me to again postpone my personal research and career ambitions and serve Him and His people boldly. GEM has given me that opportunity in Kosovo this summer!
Where I Work
Kosovo has several really unique areas for service. The country is predominately Muslim and sees many Middle-Eastern refugees. The country is also one of the poorest in Europe due to recent political upheaval. One-sixth of the population lives below the poverty line. In meeting people's urgent physical needs, I hope to meet their spiritual needs as well.
