The Greek Bible College, founded by Greater Europe Mission in 1973 in the town of Pikermi. It is located right on the course of the original marathon run 2505 years ago. Situated between Athens and Marathon, where the Greeks defeated Darius and the Persian Army, the school is one of a kind – the only full time, interdenominational Bible College in Greece. The current property was built for the school in the early 1990s, with dormitories, library, classroom, and chapel on a pleasant, leafy campus. Most classes at the school are taught in Greek, training Greek-speaking believers to be pastors, missionaries, and productive Christians. Many of GBI’s graduates are today’s current church leaders in Greece.
