My Story
I'm from the Oregon coast where I was raised in a Christian home alongside 6 sisters. My aunt and uncle were missionaries in Kosovo so I went on many short-term missions trips to do projects with them. I always assumed I'd have a job stateside and be able to support missionaries while continuing to do short-term missions, so I got my degree in Firefighting. After I graduated I went on a series of trips to Greece and realized that God was telling me to stay there.
Where I Work
The Greek island of Lesvos is about 4 miles off the coast of Turkey and has become one of the major hotspots for refugee traffic into Europe. I'll be leading short-term teams that come to help in Moria, the largest refugee camp on the island with over 15,000 people living there. When there are no short term teams, I'll be working in the Center GEM has set up where we our evangelism and discipleship efforts.
