In the 60’s GEM began searching for a way to reach the youth in France’s northern industrial sector. GEM found a run-down house below an Alpine village and Camp of the Peaks was born. Christians from across Europe and the United States came together to restore the old village in which some buildings were over 200 years old. It's now the 21st century and renovations on the 200 year old buildings are rapidly approaching their 50th year.
