BIRMINGHAM, LONDON, & PARIS
Starting in the UK, visit two of our key ministry cities, Birmingham and London. The UK is the largest mission field at GEM, so you will have an opportunity to meet with GEM missionaries, and see first-hand what their daily ministry looks like. Following London, come with us to Paris and experience ministry in this unique and urban setting.

Extend your trip by arriving in Europe a few days early to explore Edinburgh with us!
While in Scotland we'll explore the history and site of Edinburgh, enjoy a day of golf, and hear from a few local GEM workers.

London & Paris Itinerary
16 October: Arrival
Arrive in London at Pullman St. Pancras. Dinner will be together that evening at Pullman St. Pancras Hotel and hear from our President, Jon Burns.
17 October: London
Day with GEM missionaries in London.
Explore some of the ministries in London our workers are engaged in. Work like, Arts Ministry, spiritual coaching and discipleship, and even a fitness ministry.
18 October: Birmingham
Catch a train to Birmingham in the morning and spend the day with the GEM UK Director and Birmingham Focus City Leader, Jez Dearing. We will catch a train back to London that evening after dinner in Birmingham.
19 October: Travel Day
Chunnel train from London to Paris and Dinner together that evening at the Westin.
20 October: Paris
Day with GEM missionaries in Paris.
Learn about anti-taficking efforts, church planting, apologetics ministry, and more. We'll also spend some time hearing about GEM's efforts around the Paris 2024 Olympics.
21 October: Travel Day
Brunch together in the morning (for those who don’t need to go back earlier to London or fly out from Paris). Then spend the morning touring Paris before the train back to London (optional)
Chunnel train back to London for those with return flights from London
22 October (optional)
An additional tourist day in London for anyone interested. (More details to follow)
Scotland Itinerary
12 October: Travel Day to London
Arrive in London for a brief one-night stay at the Pullman Hotel.
13 October: Travel To Edinburgh
(Optional arrival in the morning to London from the US.)
Lunch at German Gymnasium, Kings Cross.
2pm Train to Edinburgh and arrive at 6.30pm to check in at the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh.
Enjoy dinner at the hotel and a welcome to the start of Encounter Europe!
14 October: Experience Scotland
After breakfast, take off for a golf outing in Kingsbarns or a late morning walk to visit Arthur's Seat.
Eat lunch in the city and enjoy time exploring local shops and culture.
Have dinner together in the evening and relax!
15 October: Edinburgh
After breakfast, visit the Charlotte Chapel or P&G’s.
Eat lunch together and head to the historic Castle tour for the afternoon
Finish the evening with dinner together with some GEM workers.
