My Story
My name is Octavian Berechet and I'm from the town Draganesti-Olt in Romania. In 2010, I married my wife Nicoleta, and I was working in Germany. God called me to missions back home in Romania that same year. I began missions work back home in Draganesti-Olt and we have been there ever since. We have three daughters now who are growing up here in our church and youth ministry.
Where I Work
I work in the Draganesti-Olt area of Southern Romania as a youth leader and church planter. The common religion here is Romanian Orthodox but the majority of the people in Romania wouldn't say they have a personal relationship with Christ. Draganesti-Olt is a town of 10,000 and only about 40 people regularly attend the church here (that means that less than 0.5% of people here know Christ).
