Serving as a Regional Mobilizer for Greater Europe Mission
I am from a small town in Louisiana called Fort Necessity and have been working in missions for a few years now, whether that be short or long term. After accepting the Lord when I was in high school, it wasn't until college that I truly understood what it meant to have a relationship with God. It was then that I had the opportunity to serve on a few short-term missions in the states and overseas. It was the first time my eyes were truly opened to see just how much the people I met were in need of the Lord. In 2016, in the middle of a mission conference at my church, I felt the Lord calling me into missions full-time. The next year, I moved to the country of Wales in the United Kingdom and began working with an organization as a missionary. I can still remember the first time I was told that only about 2% of the entire nation were believers. I wanted to share with others what the Lord has done in my life so they may be able to experience that for themselves one day. It was while overseas that God placed a passion on my heart for mobilizing young people for the mission field.
Where I Work
For my role, I will be based in Texas, working with universities and churches to mobilize individuals to the mission field. A lot of my time will be spent on university campuses, building relationships and sharing about the opportunities GEM has to serve. I will also be visiting churches around the state to see how they can be apart of the incredible work that is happening in Europe and encourage them to serve with us. Occasionally, I will also be leading short term teams to Europe.
