Serving in Romania: A Mission of Hope
Where I Work
God gave me a dream when I was 12 years old of someday serving Him as a missionary, sharing the life-changing power and work of Jesus Christ. Through the years, God has helped me grow through studying His word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers, ultimately transforming and refining me in preparation for life's challenges. After being widowed in 2018, I began seeking what God had planned for me in this unexpected, new season of life. Although the doors were open for me to return to my previous job, I sensed the Holy Spirit holding me back. When I heard about the work to be done in Europe, I knew this was exactly what He has been preparing me to do.
Where I Work
My mission field will be in Romania, in the small southern town of Draganesti-Olt. The GEM team there is building a dental clinic to serve the population of 12,000 people where currently there is only 1 dentist. Since I have 35+ years of experience in the dental field, it was a natural match! I believe I am also called to work with widows, bringing hope and healing as Jesus has done for me. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus instructs us to "GO therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
