Camp L’Arcada – Spain
Founded in 1980 as a camping ministry in the mountainous region of Pyrenees, L’Arcada is a Christian camp found northwest of Barcelona, Spain. They offer a variety of topics during different weeks, for students aged 7-18, covering a range from basketball to Native American history to learning English. Their focus is three-fold: Have fun, teach the topic, and share the love of Christ.
The missions statement of L’Arcada is “to form solid families that will contribute positively to the society. Every value and principle shared during the camps is based on the Bible.”
Project Plan
The primary need of the camp at L’Arcada is construction. There are two bungalows that need to be completed and a third that needs to be built. There is a log cabin that needs interior work also general maintenance for the property which includes deck, septic, plumbing and building a low ropes course.
There is also a need for a team to come help set up in May for the camping season.
