GEM cares deeply about missionaries' spiritual lives. The difficulty of ministering in a foreign culture amplifies the spiritual nature of our work. Make no mistake—following God’s call to Europe will challenge you personally and spiritually, but it will also provide you with an opportunity to follow Christ’s example in a land that desperately needs to experience His love.

GEM is calling missionaries to live lives of sacrifice, demonstrating God’s love rather than just telling people about it. We must focus on faith and prayer; seeing such things as a trip to the corner café as a spiritual journey.

When you allow God to break your heart for the people around you, your life will be marked by the depth of what it means to follow Jesus. Europe needs people who will boldly confront the darkness of culture with the light of a transformed life. People will experience the Good News through those who live lives of compassion, hospitality, generosity, and grace. This is not an easy calling, but it is a pursuit worth dying for.
